The cost is a flat rate of $990 (AUD) including GST. For schools outside of Sydney travel costs, and if necessary accommodation costs, may also be applicable. Some schools will subsidise the cost of the evening fully or partially while others may charge parents a nominal fee. In some schools the Parent and Friends Association covers the cost. Schools will also be required to photocopy the Parent and Student Handouts (each receive a double-sided A3 handout). If you would like to do a cut down version of the evening, the cost for a 1 hour session is $770.
Are there cancellation charges?
If you cancel anytime up to 3 weeks before the session cancellation charges do not apply. If you then cancel up to a week before the session and no alternative session is booked for that year a third of the session fee will be applicable. For sessions cancelled less than a week prior to the session, half of the session fee is applicable.
The evening runs for 1.5 hours. Popular time slots are 6.00-7.30pm, 6.30-8pm, or 7-8.30pm.
What year groups is the program suitable for?
The evening sessions are tailored to the Year Group you are interested in. We recommend you consider combining Year Groups such as 7/8, 8/9/10, 9/10, 10/11, 11/12 or 10/11/12. Although the material is similar for all the Year Groups, obviously Year 7 and Year 11 have very different needs and areas to focus on and the seminar reflects this. We also have an evening session 'Tools for High School Success' tailored specifically to the first year of high school.
Do you do just Parent sessions?
It is preferable that parents and students attend together. At times ELES is invited to do hour or half hour information sessions with parents as part of an information night or parent/teacher night. The cost for the half hour session with just parents is $550 including GST and the one hour session cost is $770 including GST. ELES and Human Connections are now also offering a 2 hour joint presentation for parents (usually targeted at Years 10-12). The cost is the same as the 1.5 hour Parent/Student Evenings - $990 including GST. ELES presents for an hour on the study skills needed for success in senior studies and Human Connections then presents strategies for helping students develop and maintain the motivation needed as well as techniques for dealing with stress in the senior years.
What type of room / equipment is needed?
We simply need a space like a lecture theatre, assembly hall or drama studio that has a background or large screen for our data projector. You provide the room and a screen and a small table, we provide the other equipment. All participants will need to bring a pen.

Where do I find the follow-up material?
Parents are given the web address on the night or can click on the LINK FOR PARENTS to access the files (you will also need the password that was given on the night). The material from that evening will be held on-line for 3 weeks from the session date. There is also extra material available at all times at the LINK FOR PARENTS.
